On Tuesday, September 3rd, ARFID Awareness UK Co-founder and Chair Nicole Kirkland was invited to participate in a BBC Five Live interview as part of a show covering 'Fussy Eating' with Nihal Arthanayaki.
The show was in response to a news story in which a teenager who only ate chips, crisps, white bread and processed meat suffered irreparable sight loss.
This is such an important discussion, and I'm so glad Nicole was able to share her expertise on BBC Radio Five Live. Raising awareness about ARFID is crucial for early diagnosis and effective support. It's often more than just 'fussy eating,' and understanding the nuances is key. For those looking to explore the connection between food and well-being, the Mindbodygreen journal has many insightful articles on healthy eating habits and overcoming food-related anxieties. It offers a wealth of information on building a healthier relationship with food, which can be so beneficial.
